On behalf of The Old Farts Bench Racers Club and our  " Racing Council "  consisting of our charter members of Ed Morris, Santa Bob McMasters, Marc Madison, Don Nixon and Frank Hobbs ( who was not in attendance ) want to say thank you to all those who made the Reunion Dinner a great success.  First off great job by Santa Bob McMasters and Jerry  " Fuzzy " Nichols co-organizers for the event with 90 plus folks in attendance including 11 of the 23 former drivers of Charlie Bellmire's # 17t Sprinter.  Secondly a very special thanks to Bruce and Debbie Griffith for their generosity in arranging the trip from Illinois to Mesquite/Dallas and back for Charlie and his nurse Stacy Earnst and their 4 day stay. Flying them both in for the Reunion Dinner and the WoO ( World of Outlaws ) Texas Outlaw Nationals at Devil's Bowl Speedway in Mesquite, Texas.  A big Texas thank you to nurse Stacy Earnst for taking time off from the health care facility and accompanying Charlie on this adventure.  Thanks to both Santa Bob McMasters and Marc Madison for    co- M/C ing the event and the presentation of the plaque honoring Charlie and his father Herman " Pappy " Bellmire  ( RIP ) for their lifetime of dedication and service to the Dallas Area Racing Family.  Thanks to Marc Madison for supplying the projection system and DVD player and thanks to Ed Morris for the use of the DVD footage of the old Devil's Bowl from the 40's and 50's. The footage comprised by Don Cook who has been documenting the history .. past and present of the North Texas Dirt Racing Community for years.  Thanks to the owners/management of the Circle Grill Restaurant for allowing us to host our events at their restaurant and a special thanks to the waitresses and kitchen staff for putting up with the 90 plus folks who attended the 4 hour event.  Last but not least thank you to everyone in the racing community all friends of Charlie Bellmire who attended the event and making it a big success.
